hang out weekend…

This weekend has been a weekend of doing nothing for the most part. We went out to dinner to the Ram on Friday night which was a real treat. On Saturday, I had my book club meeting and we had a proper tea party to discuss our latest book Three Cups of Tea (which I HIGHLY recommend). Then today we went to church, watched Michigan State win some basketball, and did more nothing. These types of weekends, highly unscheduled, are by far my most favorite.

I also wanted to update you on Michael’s dad. He got his insurance approved this past week which was a HUGE blessing and prayer answered. We are still unsure of when the surgery will actually be, but it will be sometime between the 30th-4th. Obviously, the earlier the better, but we will wait and see. Michael’s parents and sister Cyndy (James too) left today to drive to Boston as my father-in-law will be admitted tomorrow for some pre-testing.

Thank you to everyone who has been praying for the family, this has really been a journey! As always, you can read more here. My father-in-law posted an amazing post a few days ago (second post down, as of tonight) and I encourage you to read it. The man is a rock and I can only attempt to live my life for Christ like he has done.

Praise the Lord for the insurance thing — what a burden lifted. I will stay in prayer as he heads to his DR.
