I just dropped off Michael at the airport, he is on his way to Boston to be with his parents. I’m staying here, praying my children don’t eat me alive.
Papa is doing really great considering the situation. There are a few specific prayer requests I thought I would pass on. The prayers have really been felt both here and in Boston so for that we are thankful. Thanks!
Onto the specifics:
*Pray that he can adjust to breathing with only one lung. The left lung accounts for only 40% of a persons breathing capacity so he is feeling a little short of breath to say the least. Pray that this becomes more comfortable for him in the very near future.
*Pray that the parchness that he feels in his throat and mouth will be tolerable as he has had nothing to drink (not even a drop) since before surgery, and he will not be getting anything through tomorrow.
*Pray for the pain to continue to lessen. This has been going very well as his pain has been very much under control. Praise God.
*Pray for Mary to have the strength and stamina to continue to play her role as Rich’s loving and devoted wife.
*Pray for safe travels for the children as there will be a “changing of the guards” over the next few days. Kim is on a plane home as we speak. James, Cyndy, and Cody will drive home tomorrow, and Michael will fly in to Boston tomorrow just in time to watch the Super Bowl with Rich. Go Patriots! (We have to say that since we’re in Patriot country over here). J
Ok, that’s it for now. I’m sure I will update again when things change and/or I know more.
