My parents are getting ready to do some major demo and remodel of their home (my childhood home) and my Mom is really cleaning house. Everything is up for grabs, everything must go. I came home, and have been offered everything but the kitchen sink, and I’m pretty sure she wants that gone too…apparently corner sinks are not “in” anymore.
What I do love is that she has kept so much for my childhood. So far, I’m now taking back to Indy a set of children’s encyclopedia Britannica, my old raggy ann doll, a whole huge sack of children’s records (you know, those black things that spin, piper didn’t know what they were when she saw them) and all these dirty, nakey cabbage patch babies. As you can tell, with four sisters growing up in the 80’s, we had lots of cabbage patch babies.
After bath time last night, we had a good ole’ photo shoot with my 2 nakey babies and the patch. It was pretty fun. Later today, we just might go hit the tulip farm and take pictures with the girls in matching Dutch Costumes. Oh yes, matching Dutch costumes that me and my sisters wore like 25 years ago. Should be a real Dutch Treat.
