Ring ma’ bell for once…

My phone used to ring (about 2 years ago). I would come home from work or running errands and there would be messages. Messages from my far away family. Messages from friends in town, and friends out of town. Calls, calls and more calls… just wanting to see how I’m doing,wanting to catch up. “Chit chat” I think it’s called.
I would get excited when I unlocked the door after being gone for the day….excited to see that little blinking red light on my phone. Messages.
Messages I hardly have anymore thanks to THIS BLOG.
YOU HAVE ZERO MESSAGES YOU BIG LOOSER.
Thanks to this here blog, I swear nobody calls me anymore. Why? Is it that you don’t care?
Because you (and you know who YOU are…or do you?) just read my blog if you want to be up in my business. No phone call needed.
What’s Emily doing today you ask yourself……log onto the blog…..ah yes, she’s had quite a couple eventful days!
…She went to a wedding this weekend and got utterly embarrassed.
…She’s still trying to loose weight and not succeeding.
…She’s wasting time while she could be doing something useful.
So anyway, there are many things I adore and love about blogging and I’m not going to stop (at least today). But, know what would be really stalker swell for me? If everyone who reads my blog would get a blog….then we would be even.
Then I could stop calling, logging on is just so much easier anyway. Your blog would save me time, you know I’m already online, life would be easier.
And I wouldn’t feel like such a looser when I came home and had zero messages.

After my business hours all the calls seem to be for my teenage son nowadays. I just let him answer the phone now. ha ha

And I thought I was the only one that happened to. No one calls me anymore. Now I’ll get random emails, but rarely phone calls.

Me too! Same here! For the most part I really kinda like it BUT I do wish my Mom would at least call. Gee whiz.

None of my family or friends read my blog. I’ve told them all that it would be easier to keep up with us, but they just don’t. It’s both good and bad. So we still get phone calls.

I so hear you on this!
Plus, since we only use our cell phones now, I miss out on returning home to missed calls or voicemails. Now, my phone’s all up in my face with its immediate-ness.
I know what you mean about the blog thing too! However, MY side of the family are the only ones aware of my blog. I’m hoping ot keep it that way.
