Easter – it happened.

 Easter it happened.
*the girls dresses were made by my friend
julie - go get yourself one.

This past weekend was Easter (duh), and it was good. It was a nice sunny day here in Indy, we did our normal Sunday routine by headed out to church. Once church was done, we went to the Easter Brunch that our church puts on (since we have no family in town to go mooch off).

After church we came home and the girls had naps. When they got up, I handed them their Easter baskets (because I was too lazy to assemble them before church AND I didn’t want them to be hopped up before service) and told them that when they were napping that the Easter bunny knocked on the front door and left the baskets for them.

This year their Easter baskets consist of 1 “my little pony” dressed up like a bunny (weird), one pack of m&m’s that I split (split what was left, after I ate half), a cadburry egg and a package of SpongeBob Square Pants band-aids (no relevance to Easter, but I was lacking substance).

Shopping for a holiday the afternoon before said holiday is not a good idea. I’ve learned my lesson but I’ll probably repeat my actions again next year. (Bad mom, I get it).

On a side note, PK and I have been arguing lately whether or not the Easter bunny is male or female. Through various means of pondering this question, it’s been determined that the Easter bunny is a female.

Reasoning? It lays eggs.

And now I sit and wait for the chocolate hangover to end…

I love the dresses! Do you re-use the baskets from year to year like I did? Did you ever catch on to that one when you were little? So often we were on the road traveling home from Florida so you did not get a basket every year. Sorry.

I agree the Easter Bunny’s got to be a girl, who else would bring us chocolate?

She has a good point about why she thinks the Easter Bunny is female, you know.

I was buying Easter basket items at 11:30 at night… if it’s not understood, let me tell you that all the good candy is GONE! So Mr. Bunny brought spring/summer yard games,, no colored grass, no candy in the eggs, just a few things oh so prettily positioned around their baskets they got for their first Easter’s.. and then I go about the next week exhausted for my lack of planning.. But the weather here in Indiana was atleast decent on Sunday, unlike the last two days.. oye;)
