Full of Fluff and Lacking Content

April 21, 2009 | Category: I'm a Blogger

A certain someone (who I might share a bed with) has told me on numerous occasions lately that this here blog lacks content, is full of fluff, and apparently not living up to it’s “standards”. He wants content. This certain someone should maybe get his own blog and stop harping on mine don’t you think?

Unfortunately, his criticism has some truth in it. For the first time in over 3 years (can you believe I’ve been blogging for 3 years?) I’m just not feeling the love. Wait, let me re-phrase that. I feel the love from all the amazing people that read this blog and support me through comments (especially love the folks that leave comments). I’m just not feeling the love to sit down at the computer and write. I’m in a funk. Put it this way, I would rather watch re-runs of Rock of Love via VH1 than write a blog post lately.

I’m not giving up on blogging – I’m just not going to force it if it doesn’t feel natural. Hopefully something awesome! and fantastic! and brilliant! will hit me soon and I’ll have to run to the computer to tell you all about it.

Until then, you might want to ignore me because all I got for you is a whole lotta nothing.

Full of Fluff and Lacking ContentIf you’re really dying to know what we’re up to in our free time, it’s probably something along the lines of:

Me: laying on the couch thinking of all the stuff I should be doing instead of watching tv at 1pm in the afternoon.

PK: walking her cyber-dog on her new Leapster (that I just bought her so she would have something to do while I watch tv)

Birdie: Working on her potty training skills (which means she goes into obscure corners of the house while I’m watching tv, takes off her diaper, and defecates in said corner)

So now you’re in the know.

You know… your posts that are “full of fluff and lacking content” are still better than mine.

Everyone deserves a break and time to watch TV.

Just don’t let it get the better of you. Regardless, I’ll still be checking in and waiting for your next post – full of fluff or not.

I needed this post today, thanks for the laughs! Now you go take as long as you want, watch as much TLC as you like, and don’t let a certain someone dictate your creative outlet. (Please don’t tell him I said that though, I still owe him BIG TIME for helping me out on Saturday.)

I feel ya. I’ve been full of drivel lately myself. Lots of pics to make up for the lack of real communication.

    I’m still enjoying your’s though.

I really enjoy your blog – even though I don’t know you. ‘Deep’ posts, fluff, all of it. Just keep being you! Thanks for putting yourself out there. Also – I have been praying for you and your family as you’ve been grieving. Blessings…

I’d miss ya if you didn’t blog – you are one of my favorites! I understand though. I haven’t been blogging even a year yet and I have trouble finding the motivation sometimes, especially as crazy busy as things get. You deserve a break! So, sit back, relax, enjoy the TV! : )

Hooray for pooping in corners. Just pray she doesn’t get to where MY little one is…spreading it all over the walls, bed, and toys. FUN times.

    Hope to see you Saturday!

It must be the husbandly thing to do. I’ve told Mrs the same thing at given times. ~~ The deficate-in-a-corner comment made me snort out a spot of liquid on my desktop. Well played. -Mr
