This beebe in mah belleh

June 24, 2009 | Category: I'm The Rage's Momma

I realize that since making the “big announcement” over a month ago regarding the new beebe in mah belleh, I’ve really not said much more. Some of you are probably glad that this blog hasn’t been consumed by daily baby update post, others are probably shocked that it hasn’t.

The truth is, this blog reflects my life. Lately, I feel so busy with the children outside my womb that the little one inside doesn’t get much press time. If I was being honest here (and I try to be), this pregnancy is flying by primarily because I don’t focus on it too much. Aside from the standard no sushi, alcohol, hot tub, and remeber to take your prenatal horsepill before bedtime precautions – it’s pretty much business as usual around the DesignHER Momma house.

I tell you what – being pregnant for the 3rd time is a whole different ballgame from being pregnant with your 1st born. Am I right ladies? Holla.

Questions, Questions – you all have been asking me questions lately and I’ll try to answer some of them.

When are you due? Thanksgiving Freakin’ Day. That’s right – I’m due on a holiday. That means that if I do actually end up delivering on my due date all the staff at the hospital will probably be crabby because their working when they would rather be watching football at their in-laws.

Are you going to find out the sex? No. We will be waiting until the big day and you can too. I really don’t care what the sex is – we love our ladies and would pee our pants with joy if it was a little dude.

Have you thought of names? Not yet. Regardless of the sex, PK has named the baby “Kiki”. Baby names really stress me out. If you have any suggestions for me – send them my way.

Am I physically HUGE already? Absolutely. My wicked next door neighbor just asked me yesterday when I was due. When I told her, she cackled and said “I though you were due in August”. Then she rode off on her wooden broom.

So…..what else am I missing? What are you dying to know?

    Hi,
Just found you through mommie blogs. As a mom of three, I laughed out loud at this post. So true about the third pregnancy. And I have a broom-riding neighbor too, lol.

    Good luck with #3!

Hey Emily! It's totally normal to kind of "ignore" your 3rd pregnancy! People ask all the time how you're feeling, and it takes a second to realize WHY they're even asking! (Just imagine pregnancies 4 and 5!) Also, my 4th was due on Thanksgiving Day 2006. It wasn't bad at all! :)

This happens with third and fourth pregnancies- you don't have that much time to remember you are pregnant sometimes and that is kinda nice to be honest. I admit I felt a bit disconnected in the beginning about it but definitely bonded with the baby inside me as she gained a personality in there.

And yes- having been in the hospital on Thanksgiving, the staff WILL probably be crabby, FYI. Aim for the day before! : )

So, my first thought when I read your due date was Thanksgiving, I immediately thought "no one delivers on their due date". Um, yeah — I quickly forget that I did!!! Definitely aim for the day before!

And your neighbor gives a whole new meaning to "love your neighbor as yourself". What a challenge as she does not sound nice at all!!!

I feel the same way about the 2nd one. I am 30 weeks and when I walk by the mirror I am always startled at how big I am. It takes a second to realize that I am prego and didn't gain belly weight overnight.

Being pregnant is so hard. I can remember with my second child being so big that a woman actually said to me " Oh my gosh, you look like you are about to expode." I was only 6 months along. I cried. She was lucky to be in her 80's or I might have gotten revenge…..

What Kristin said. Only, I'm 29 weeks. But other than that, exactly what she said.
I spend all my at-home time chasing a 25lb toddler and picking stuff up for him, so I'm just used to doing it myself and it throws me off that people are forever jumping to help me pick something up (usually about the time I've already got it and am standing up out of a full squat).

Remind us what week you're on, again? I could be less lazy and go back to your original post and stuff, but twould be easier to beg you to include that when you post. :)

How do you think your girls will react to a new baby in the house? Any jealousy or just some little mothering on their part?

Here are the really important ones:
    1) What are you craving?
    2) Where are you shopping for maternity clothes?
    3) How often do you slather on the cocoa butter and what brand do you use?
    and
    4) If you have a little boy can we set up an arranged marriage for my little girl?

I've had a few people ask me when I'm due too. They don't even try to hide the shock when I say November. Apparently I am a whale.

Can we see more pics of the belleh? Did you always know you wanted 3 or are more in the plans?

I only ask because I've always said I want 3 but then people tell me I should make it an even number. Just curious!

Boy, am I out of the loop. Congratulations! That's wonderful.

I'm already talking about number three with Luke, but he is so not interested in entertaining that idea.

I agree, bring on the belly shots!

LOL- just followed your link from sugar britches. I started wearing maternity clothes earlier every time- by the fourth I broke them out on thanksgiving day- she was due the end of JULY! My stomach didn't have much room for turkey though in already unbuttoned regular pants. ;) And yes it went by quickly becuase life is so full- so different from your first- even your second (I was consumed by worried thoughts of how things would be different.)

We wanna see the bump girl! ; )

You craving anything? Just curious. It always fascinates me to know what others crave.

And I TOTALLY hear ya on the 3rd being WAY different than the first. One of my close girlfriends even forgot I was pregnant the other day!
