3 down, 1 to go…
September 14, 2009 | Category: I'm a celebrator, I'm a Sister
I have 3 sisters. We’re all married now except for my youngest sister Betsy (who is still in college, go Spartans, so it’s appropriate that she’s still single, for now). And Betsy – the flower girl dresses will probably fit them for the next year or so…just an FYI.
My younger sister Jenna got married to a great guy this past weekend, affectionately now know around here as Uncle Lance. Needless to say, my family doesn’t party often, but when we do – it’s a good one.
I have a few pictures to share of the big day. As you know, I’m no photographer, so sorry about the quality. It was so much prettier in real life…
PK and my mom. The girls did awesome throwing petals down the isle. Well, let me rephrase that. PK did awesome, Birdie just threw her whole basket aside and ran down the isle. Really, that’s all I could have ever asked for.
I don’t have many photos of the reception, which was equally amazing. I’ve been told the party lasted till the wee hours of the morning – although this tired and sore mama lasted only until around 11:30pm.
I’ve realized that being hugely pregnant at a dance party is not as fun as it sounds. I’ve seen some of the after party photos floating around on Facebook, looked like good time.
Jenna & Lance –
Your day was beautiful, just like I’m sure your marriage will be. A few things I must get off my chest:
1. I’m incredibly jealous that you’re in Mexico right now and I’m stuck here in Indiana (with no plans of escape). Have an amazing time, drink one (or eight) margaritas for me.
2. When they loaded up all your gifts in the back of my car Saturday night, I have no idea where they went from there. I swear I had nothing to do with their disappearance. Oh, and I love all my new kitchen gadgets and bath towels.
And lastly,
3. Enjoy your time together as a couple. Next thing you know, 7 years will have flown by and you’ll have 2.5 kids. Right now you’re getting PAID to wipe butt – it’s not always going to be that way. Not sayin’ it’s a bad thing, just enjoy your quite time.
WE LOVE YOU!

Gorgeous, gorgeous. I wanted an outdoor wedding, but in the end was afraid of how the weather might be.. your sister had a beautiful day, absolutely perfect for an outdoor wedding.

You are ALL such beautiful people! Thanks for sharing the memories with us! If you want to see big and pregnant, I have pictures. You are cute and pregnant, something I was for about 6 hours, before I became the size of a mammoth.

Wow, you and your sisters are all gorgeous!! I'm jealous, too – my one and only sister is only 13 so it'll be awhile before I get to marry her off.

1) you look absolutely beautiful.
2) you have fantastic genes.
3) we've stretched a flower girl dress 2 yrs and I have 3 if you need a back up in the future.
We thought about starting a business for awhile for the Eldest Princess. She is a professional petal thrower.
Thanks for sharing.

Guess what? I have four sisters (including a little sister named Betsy).
Your sister was an absolutely beautiful bride.
I have to admit – I hate going to weddings and special events when I am huge + pregnant. It's just so hard for me to not feel like the "ugly duckling." Even if everyone gushes about how glow-y and pretty I am. I attended my brother's wedding a week before I had baby #2 and I actually cried on the day of because I couldn't find anything to wear! Silly, I know…
