Instead of this right here.
September 28, 2009 | Category: I'm a Blogger
I remember a time not so long ago that I would blog almost 5 times a week. You would think that since I haven’t blogged since last Tuesday I would have a good explanation. I bet you’ve been thinking that I’ve been really busy, or sick, or tired, or maybe on vacation (in my dreams).
Actually, for the first time in 3.5 years of blogging, I’m feeling writers block – tonngue tied if you must. Or maybe I’m just lazy, which is probably closer to the truth. But really, I’ll try and think up anything to do instead of blog. Here’s what I’ve been doing instead :
Reading a book I can’t decide if it’s good or bad. The The Virgin Suicides. I’m pretty sure it’s a bad book that I keep telling myself is good. Thoughts?
Shopping on Etsy like it’s my job. It’s a good thing I don’t know the sex of the baby, or it would be over. OVER! I tell ya!
Reading blogs that make me giggle. Between Craftastrophe, CakeWrecks and Lovely Listing, I can easily waste a whole evening.
Taking my kids out with friends, to have a good time at our local bouncy place establishments. Pretty sure they employ only 15 year old boys to stock their shelves.
Or when in doubt, watching TV. I’ve just discovered the show called Bridezillas – it’s amazing and profound television.
So, since I don’t know how to end this post nor do I know what to write about next, I’ll let you pick what I blog about next. Do you want to hear:
- The one about how my daughter drew a picture of a male horsey and how I knew it was a boy…
- The one about how I admit my birthing plans and how terrified I am about them…
- Or the one about how one time, in high school, I saw a couple old men from my church naked, showering, together.
You decide and I’ll deliver. I already know which one you’ll choose.

Oh Em! I'm trying to catch up on blogs and I just read your one from Tuesday! Totally know about blog block!
I had to comment about Bridezllas. I've watched this show a few times and I've decided it is like watching a long drawn out car wreck! It's horrible but I just. can't. look. away! I wonder if they play it up since they're being taped or if they'd really be like that if they weren't?
Any of those blog entries would be interesting!

I'd like to hear about them all – start writing already!
And even knowing the gender of the baby doesn't help. A dear friend of mine was having a girl and decorated the entire nursery PLUS bought almost a year's worth of clothes from Etsy for her. Turns out "her" was a "him" at birth.

Ok, I'll just say it #3. What the heck? I need more info, lol

All 3. But I'll settle for #3 just because it contains so many possibilities.

All your potential topics sound like they'd be great posts! I look forward to reading any or all of them, but I admit the one about the church men showering together did make me laugh outloud and now I'm curious.

I really liked The Virgin Suicides. Jeffery Eugenides is an amazing writer. It's been years so I can't give specifics as to why I like it though. It's kind of a bat ass crazy story though. So if you can embrace the bat ass craziness, which I am known to do, it's a good book.

I have been struggling all summer with this. I can't find it in me to write ANYTHING. LOL Well, except Teh Funneh at Craftastrophe. HAHAHA
Love you! And love anything you write!

I think any one of those would be a good read – and I am not just saying that because I read everyone else's blogs but let mine go for weeks without updating.

Um…. all three please!
P.S. I'm all over Etsy like a rat on a cheeto. I just don't get my credit card out (most days…)

As an illustrator, you know I'm going for this one…The one about how my daughter drew a picture of a male horsey and how I knew it was a boy…

Sarah Viola and I took our kids to the local bounce place yesterday, and they most definitely did not have unicorns hitting it with bears. I'm a little disappointed.

I want to know the last two.
You totally crack me up, by the way.
Oh, and I LOVE etsy. I could window-shop there for hours and hours and hours…
