Feeling Foggy, Rather Groggy
November 29, 2009 | Category: I'm a celebrator, I'm a Momma, I'm The Rage's Momma
Wow, what a week makes! Last week at this time, we were welcoming our son through the doors of our home for the first time in his life.
This week has been a complete blur and I’m not sure I’ll ever see clearly again.
We’re all doing awesome. Although at times I feel like I’ve been physically hit by a bus, my recovery is infinitely better than it was with the girls. (dare I attribute that to a natural birth?)
PK is the biggest big sister possible. She’ll just sit by him, and tell me how cute he is. I couldn’t agree more. She will already do anything for her little brother – I hope this never changes.
Birdie is doing better than I ever expected; although I’m ready for her to turn to the dark side any day now. Admittedly she has the delicacy and finesse of a sledgehammer, she tries her best to “pet lightly”.
All I can say about my husband is that he’s awesome. On all sorts of levels, I couldn’t (and wouldn’t) do this without him.
Gage is beautiful, wonderful and totally different from his two sisters. Seriously, the boy sleeps round the clock (including the bulk of the night, knock on wood). I love him for his mellow moods and chill attitude.
Thank you all for the kind comments, emails, phone calls, facebook messages, long road trips, and acts of kindness that have been showered over us these past couple of weeks. They are priceless and haven’t gone unnoticed.
Thanksgiving has never felt so literal.

With each week it gets better, but I am so happy to hear that everyone is home, happy and healthy.

I remember the first week with the second baby and it was a blur, I can't imagine the first week with the third.
As for the easier baby… I'll second your anecdotal evidence. Mary, now 12 weeks old, is WAY more mellow than Charlotte, now 27 months old. Both were natural births, but there were no interventions with Mary and she was born in a tub.

Can't wait to meet him! Keep an eye out for a big green recycled mailing envelope in your mail this week!

Boys are great! I only have a boy but my sister in law has one of each and says her little boy is so different (in a good way) than her little girl was. Have fun with all your kids and congratulations again!

You are so lucky to have a boy with two girls. They are so different, even at that age, it is mind boggling! Enjoy this beautiful boy (sounds like you are!) xx
ps Our Birdie's sound very similar. Methinks they would get along really well!

Congrats again!
My friend's 3rd baby was like that, with two crazed toddlers running around we joked that God pulled her aside before she came down and told her exactly what was expected out of a 3rd child.
