Today I hopped on Facebook for a minute and noticed one of my “friends” had a new profile picture. It was a photo of her perfectly manicured toes, lazily floating in a pool of clear blue water, obviously located somewhere south of Indiana.
If I was to post a new picture on my profile page, it would looks something like this:
This has been my view for the past 24 hours. Snuggled under layers of blankets, staring at baskets of laundry and a tv that doesn’t work. This afternoon I watched most of the first season of Toddlers and Tiaras on instant Nexflix. That show is so wrong.
I’ve been sick, oh so sick. The kind of sick where I can’t even comb my hair, because it hurts my scalp too much. The kind of sick where I can’t drink cold water, because it will give me a case of the chills and send me into the shower where I’ll stay there until I drain every last drop of hot water.
And oh, my worst symptom? The weird lymph node things on the left side of my neck are so swollen and painful I can’t really turn my head or get comfortable while lying down.
Have I whined enough for you yet?
I’m now going to turn off the computer, finish the last few drops of my chamomile tea and crawl back in bed. Who am I kidding, I’m already there.
