Mozzi (due) in May: Go Gaga!
January 15, 2011 | Category: I'm a celebrator, I'm a Giver
Wow, the last few days have been crazy! We’ve kicked off the 15 week celebration for Casey and her little Mozzi due this Spring. I think we just might have pulled off a surprise of epic proportions! But honestly, she really hasn’t seen nothin’ yet. And neither have you.
Are you ready for this?
Each Saturday, one of you, and of course Casey included, will be gifted an amazing product, courtesy of an equally amazing company.
Today’s gift is undoubtedly one of my top 5 must haves.
GIFT: Go Gaga Slide bag.
You guys, I know Casey has seriously coveted this bag for years.
Go Gaga was featured on Zulily this week, and Casey tried to buy one, but they sold out before she had a chance! She even tweeted about how sad she was:
How awesome is that?! Honestly, this bag is hands down the smartest designed bag I’ve ever owned. I reviewed it on Simple about year ago, and have been using it daily ever since. My favorite part of the bag is the brilliant cross-body strap, which makes schlepping around tons of baby gear a whole lot easier.
GIVEAWAY: One commenter will also be gifted a Go Gaga Slide bag! You have two ways to enter (leave a comment for each):
1. Tell Casey the one item you always carry around with you in your diaper bag or purse. You know, the one essential thing you cannot leave the house without. Me? It would be lip balm.
2. Tweet! You can say whatever you want, but make sure it includes a link to this post and the @gogaga twitter handle. Or you can be lazy cut and copy this:
It’s a Mozzi (due) in May party! Visit @designhermomma to enter to win a @gogaga slide bag: http://tinyurl.com/4jraocw
This giveaway will run through next Saturday, January 22nd. I’ll announce the winner in my next Mozzi (due) in May post!
*******************************************************************************
I am so thankful to Jill, the owner of Go Gaga, for wanting to be a part of this celebration. She is the best!
*All gifts have been generously donated. I have not received any product or monetary exchange for writing these post or promoting the brand. I have only received in return the amazing feeling of joy, being able to gift Casey (and you) some cool gear.

Vaseline–I use it for everything, lip balm, hand lotion, protection from diaper rash, even against wind chafing.

I never go any where without my Munchkin Diaper Bag Dispenser. The bags are great for dirty diapers if you are some place that you can’t throw it away. They are also perfect for soiled clothes in the diaper bag. And the bags are scented so no gross smells!

For me? It’s Purell. Today, for instance, my almost three year old had to go poo while we were in the children’s museum, so as I sweated off about 10 pounds and suffered an anxiety attack, I placed the toilet paper around the toilet seat, and placed my son on top. Of course, we had to take off his shoes and pants. Of course, he had his hands all over the toilet seat. BARF. We did wash our hands for a LONG TIME after with soap, but then I Purelled his hands as well! That is my one must have item!

Yeah! A sweet bag giveaway! It looks awesome!! I could only wish…
I never leave the house with out baby Aquafor. It is great for chapped buns, lips or anything else with chapping capacity. You can find it in the baby soap aisle at Target. A close second is the cute and trendy burp cloth (well, any burpcloth like rag thingy that could serve as a burp cloth.) I’ve used it as a breast pad–one side was quite a bit larger than the other at that Panera outing, a rag, a makeshift diaper, and coffee/spit up/mess/water/ etc. cleaner upper.

Gotta be kleenex. We’re in winter for half the year anyhow, so everyone has the sniffles, but you can also wipe up spills and smears, wash wee hands from a water cup, and write notes to self in a pinch with them. Who doesn’t need all that?
[Reply]
January 15th, 2011 @ 5:22 pm
I NEVER leave home without wipes. They can be used for diapers, messes, sticky hands, spills, wiping off shopping carts, pretty much anything. Also? An extra change of clothes. Nothing sucks more then being somewhere without a spare outfit. I have even considered packing an extra outfit for myself, but never did.

In addition to the obvious chapstick, diapers and wipes I never leave without a bink or two (pacifiers) and a burp rag. The few times I’ve been without them, I’ve ended up very very sorry.

You name it…it’s probably in my bag. Now that my girls are a little but older and don’t require that much, the one thing that’s always been consistent is hand sanitizer. Aside from VERY close family and my son we have not told anyone that we are expecting yet, with that being said my wonderful 9 yr old son wrote the baby brother or sister to be a little note when we told him that he was going to be a big brother. It says ‘welcome to the greatest family ever!’ I laminated it and keep it in my wallet (always in my purse) and it will rotate to a diaper bag in 7 short months. Since we have not told anyone whenever I get giddy about the baby I take the note out and look at it.
Super cheesy huh! Well since I cant have wine right now I’ll have crackers with my cheese.

My wallet, right? Well it normally is in my diaper bag but today, after getting the kids and their lunch and everything loaded into the car, driving 20 minutes, getting all my preschool (I’m hosting on Wednesday) shopping done, standing in line for 10 minutes I realized I didn’t have my wallet! No money. No cards. No nothing. Luckily I ran into a friend (which never happens) who lent me the money to get what I needed. I need a bigger bag so my wallet is ALWAYS in the big and doesn’t get moved so that there is room for the other stuff…diapers, wipes, toys, books, etc – which of course really are ALWAYS in the bag!

I’m totally torn – I want to say wipes or diapers – cause that makes sense but I feel like you can work all things out – but if you are stuck with out a spare pair of clothes it’s trouble. Thus the reason we own an airplane blanket and a towel we lifted from someone’s house.
This bag? It totally rocks / Casey, I’m glad you get to take it home and now I’d like to win please.

I don’t have kids yet so I would say I can’t leave the house without my cell phone in my purse. To me it would be like leaving the house without pants on.
But a few of my friends are new moms and they always have the plain cloth diaper pre-fold things (hopefully I know what I’m talking about) because of the versatility- extra diaper, burp cloth, cover, etc. And a couple also love their pacifier animal things? It’s a pacifier with a stuffed animal on the front of it?? Oh the things I will have to learn about when I have kids!

I have to have baby wipes. Whom ever invented those should be president they can clean anything. But I pack everything in my diaper bag friends are always amazed at what I can fit in there. If you buy mini you can be prepared.

I need lip gloss, lotion, food, suckies for my son who’s obsessed and his little face blanket. These bags are genius!
