Blooming Baths and Fresh Baby Sniffs (GIVEAWAY)

February 6, 2012 | Category: I'm a Giver

I sometimes bath Paul for the very selfish reason of wanting to sniff his freshly washed tiny little baby head. Fresh and clean baby might be one of my favorite smells in the whole wide world.

Right before Paul was born, I was asked if I would like to try out a new baby bathtub on the scene, the Blooming Bath. I of course jumped on the opportunity, because I’m admittedly one of those moms who love to try test out all of the latest and greatest baby gear.

So the Blooming Bath. How would I describe it? It’s basically a soft, form-able tub that fits into any sink creating a warm cradle to rub-a-dub-dub baby in.

Being an eternal skeptic, I had my reservations at first. And so did Paul:

6831045807 07948e17ec Blooming Baths and Fresh Baby Sniffs (GIVEAWAY)

What’s this silly soft thing you’re setting me in, mom? Do I look like a flower that needs watering?

And then, within a minute, we had sheer baby bliss on our hands. The kid, totally mellowed out and let it all hang loose (if you know what I mean).

Complete and utter relaxation set in quickly.
6831054983 5b18556440 Blooming Baths and Fresh Baby Sniffs (GIVEAWAY)

Hey dad, don’t forget to scrub my bits…
6831055811 3f63a93c57 Blooming Baths and Fresh Baby Sniffs (GIVEAWAY)

Now hide my bits for the camera, I’m a modest kind of guy…

As a mom, I thought that the tub really made Paul feel safe and secure, and he appeared to enjoy this bathing experience much more than the old plastic tub we used with his older siblings.

When we’re done using it, we easily ring out the excess water into the sink and use the handy hang tag located on the back to hang it to dry. Or, if you’re so inclined, you can just throw it into the dryer for a few minutes to bounce around.

Another cool feature about the bath is that when baby outgrows the “sink bath”, the Blooming Bath can be place in the real tub as a soft and secure spot to keeps baby’s bottom from slipping and sliding around.

The Blooming Bath costs $40, and can be purchased online.

GIVEAWAY ALERT!

Blooming Bath wants to gift one of their baths to one of you! And no worries if you’re out of the baby stage, I think this would make a fantastic shower or new baby gift. I would have LOVED to have received one of these!

Ah, this looks like just the sort of thing I could gift to my sister, who lives in a city condo, aka hello does NOT have room for the big plastic tub?
OR I would keep it for myself instead of taking an ENTIRE under-the-sink counter to store my big plastic tub leftover from the first baby.
Most excellent facial expressions, young Mr. Paul!

How did Katie thank me for my choice? Throwing up her entire bottle all over my shirt. (And down my shirt. Thanks goodness my bra caught it!). Either way, I still love Katie. And her mom. And, I’d love to give them both this pretty, little baby bath!

I sometimes bath Paul for the very selfish reason of wanting to sniff his freshly washed tiny little baby head. Fresh and clean baby might be one of my favorite smells in the whole wide world.

Hi! My husband and I are expecting our first together on May 11th. When we first stumbled upon the Blooming Bath facebook page, we both knew we would want it. However, I was worried about using the Blooming Bath with a newborn so my mother got us a plastic infant tub for my baby shower. I can tell from the photos of the adorable Baby Paul that the Blooming Bath would have been a perfectly safe (and comfortable!) tub for our newborn baby boy! I am totally kicking myself for not asking for the Blooming Bath instead! Sorry Baby Sy, you may have to wait a little longer for luxury (finances are tight!).

Your son IS adorable! My son has been in the hospital pretty much his whole life. He has Hypoplastic Right Ventricle among other heart defects. This has caused him to be stuck in a bed and hooked up to monitors most of the time. Bath time is one of the few times he is able to just be free and relax. Unfortunately his father and I are on a tight budget and we have our 15 month old daughter to take car of too, so $40 for a baby tub would have been a little too extravagant for us. We have my daughter old plasti tub with a little mesh hammock. It works fine but with his chest incision, he hasn’t had the joy of being submerged. We just got the thumbs up to get his chest wet, but since he was unable to enjoy a true baby. Ath he is a little scared of thE hammock.
