It was our 3rd day at Disney, and we were taking a quick break in Fantasyland, before hitting up the Peter Pan ride. Killing time, I pulled out my phone and checked my email.
I had an unread email.
The condense version:
Hey Emily, we like your words, and we have a blog. Would you be interested in writing for us?
You guys, the email was from Disney baby. And I received this email while in Fantasyland. My head may have exploded from the magic.
Would I be interested in writing for Disney baby? Um, let me think on that for a nanosecond. Yes. Yes I would in fact be interested in writing for Disneybaby.com.

So yeah, I have a new gig, and I’m pretty ecstatic about it. I started this month, and although I’ve only posted a handful of times, I think it’s a great fit for my style. I’ll be focusing on all the tiny magical moments that come with raising my two little guys, Gage and Paul.
Friends, I hope you join me over there every now and again.
This past weekend over at DB (that’s short for Disney Baby), I dug deep and wrote about what it’s like to share my birthday with my Piper. Hint: it doesn’t suck at all.
Saturday, one of the gifts we gave Piper was a copy of the newest princess movie, Brave. It releases into stores tomorrow, and I’m guessing it’s going to fly off the shelves this holiday season.
We’ve watched it no less than 4 times already. Piper and Nola adore princess Merida, and Gage is enamored with all the horses and other magical creatures found in the movie. And I actually caught Michael laughing out loud, which says a ton when it comes to kids movies. There are a few scary parts that freak Nola out, so you might want to keep that in mind and take it into consideration when deciding if your kid is ready to watch Brave or not.
And as cheesy as it sounds, it is really a fantastic movie for the whole family.
So how about I give a copy away! Sounds like a good idea to me.
*I was given an advance copy of Brave to facilitate this giveaway.
